Health Sciences Review is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original reviews of literature in all health science areas including social work, public health, medicine, psychology, education, biology, earth science, and other disciplines. The goal of Health Sciences Review is to facilitate scientific breakthroughs in the understanding of phenomena that impact the health of specific populations by providing a central repository of critical syntheses of existing research that guide new research and practice efforts.
Health Sciences Review is interested in publishing original articles in the following areas:

How theories and models are applied to health research and practice (including an assessment of how theories and models are adapted, ignored, or misused)

The development of new health-related theories or models based on existing research

Health conditions of populations (including, but not limited to, environmental, behavioral, personal, structural, clinical, and biological factors, or a combination thereof)

How health phenomena have been measured (including consistency or inconsistency in terminology, measures, approaches, and other measurement areas)

Strengths and weaknesses identified in a body of health literature

Compare and contrast the scientific health information printed in the professional versus academic literature

How new technologies are used in health research and practice (including technological innovations used to conduct assessments, collect data, review and summarize literature, implement interventions, and other uses)
