Double Blinded Peer Review Process

The International Journal of Prevention Practice and Research (IJPPR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and rigor. To ensure the quality and credibility of the research published in our journal, we employ a double-blinded peer review process. This process ensures fairness, impartiality, and confidentiality in the evaluation of submitted manuscripts.

1. Initial Evaluation: Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial assessment by the Editorial Board to determine its suitability for publication in IJPPR. Manuscripts that meet the basic criteria for scope, originality, and adherence to submission guidelines proceed to the peer review stage.

2. Selection of Reviewers: Qualified experts in the field are carefully selected to conduct the peer review process. These reviewers possess relevant expertise and experience to evaluate the scholarly merit, methodology, significance, and clarity of the submitted manuscript.

3. Double Blinded Review: Both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process. This ensures an unbiased evaluation and prevents any potential conflicts of interest. Authors are also blinded to the identities of the reviewers.

4. Reviewer Evaluation: Reviewers assess the manuscript based on several criteria, including but not limited to:

  • Originality and significance of the research question
  • Methodological soundness
  • Clarity and coherence of writing
  • Appropriateness of data analysis
  • Contribution to the field of prevention practice and research

Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations to help authors improve the quality of their work.

5. Editorial Decision: Following the peer review process, the Editor-in-Chief carefully evaluates the reviewers' comments and recommendations. Based on this evaluation, a decision is made regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript.

6. Author Notification: Authors receive detailed feedback from the Editor-in-Chief, including any required revisions or explanations for rejections. If revisions are requested, authors are provided with clear instructions and a timeline for resubmission.

7. Final Decision and Publication: Upon satisfactory completion of revisions, the manuscript undergoes a final review to ensure that all issues raised during the peer review process have been adequately addressed. Once approved & Received APC by author, the manuscript is published in the International Journal of Prevention Practice and Research.

The double-blinded peer review process employed by IJPPR ensures the publication of high-quality, credible research that contributes to the advancement of prevention practice and research. We are committed to upholding the integrity and rigor of academic publishing and fostering a culture of excellence in scholarly communication.
